Evolution
Opus Chronograph
Dakar
The skeletonized icon returns in warm earth tones. The Opus Chronograph Dakar combines mechanical depth and elemental design.
Elegance & Precision
The Opus Dakar brings an elegant, elemental spirit to the iconic Chronoswiss skeleton chronograph. Housed in a titanium case and paired with a sand-colored nubuck strap, its warm brown CVD-coated dial captures the tones and textures of sun-scorched landscapes. The open-worked construction exposes every gear and bridge of the chronograph movement, turning function into a visual rhythm. Bold yet understated, the Opus Dakar is a statement of mechanical clarity shaped by earth, heat, and time.

Movement
C.741S
At the core of the Opus Dakar beats the Chronoswiss Caliber C.741S — a skeletonized automatic chronograph movement refined for transparency and performance. Visible through the open architecture, it features black galvanized bridges and a CVD-coated, skeletonized rotor, adorned with subtle Côtes de Genève. With central chronograph seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour counters, a small seconds display, and an analog date function, the movement delivers both function and finesse. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a power reserve of 46 hours, it is the mechanical pulse of this reimagined icon.
Materials
Titanium Grade 5
Chronoswiss increasingly favors titanium for its lightness. It has the best strength-to-weight ratio among metals, making it highly sought after in aerospace. Additionally, titanium is corrosion-resistant and skin-friendly. For its creations, Chronoswiss exclusively selects the toughest available titanium alloy, Grade 5.
Complication
Chronograph & Date
The Chronoswiss Opus features a sophisticated chronograph mechanism with central stopwatch seconds, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock — allowing precise measurement of elapsed time. A small second at 9 o’clock ensures constant running time, while a cleanly integrated date at 3 o’clock adds daily utility to this mechanical masterpiece.

Our Vision
When Chronoswiss introduced the Opus in 1995, it was more than a chronograph — it was a statement of transparency, engineering, and independence. As one of the very first fully skeletonized automatic chronographs, the Opus defied convention by exposing what others concealed. Three decades later, we continue that legacy with a bold reinterpretation of the original vision. The Opus remains a technical marvel, reimagined with modern materials and fresh proportions. What began as an avant-garde breakthrough has become a modern mechanical icon.
